has anybody tried running -current (or netbsd-4) on 3100 PMAX in a
while? I also have 5000/240 (3MAX+) running 1.4.3A since the late 90s
that could use updating...

I haven't tried -current but I did try 4.0_RC2 on my 5000/133 a while
back. It worked pretty well but native compiles with GCC 4 were slow.
